Self Esteem and Confidence

Adolescent Counselling

Being a teenager is not always easy. Finding someone to talk to, open up to and feel listened to is daunting. I will create a safe, open and relaxed space where you will feel really listened to and understood. Parent/Teen Relationships

Parenting a teenager can be very difficult and confusing at times. Being a teenager and being parented can also be very difficult and confusing. These difficulties and confusions can often break down or create upset in parent/teen relationships.

Co-Parenting

Parenting relationships come in many forms and can change many times. Whether parents are still together or separated, parenting can create issues in these relationships and in relationships with and for their children. I can work with parents individually or separately regarding any issues in parenting/co-parenting to help create consistency and boundaries with understanding and respect being at the core.

Anxiety and Depression

Anxiety and/or depression can feel all consuming. I can help support you understand and become more aware of your anxiety and depression. I will help you move towards learning new skills, creating new supports (internally and externally) to help manage your thoughts, feelings, behaviours and physiology. I will provide a safe and supporting space where you can, with openness, discuss any sexual difficulties or intimacy issues you are facing. Allowing you to have this space can help create a better understanding and move you towards overcoming the issues.

Stress and Anger

Stress and anger can feel extremely overwhelming and we can feel that there are very few options in our life but those that make us feel stressed. We can also feel that there is no other way to deal with some of our most difficult emotions or situations than with anger. The negative consequences of these however can be exhausting and damaging to us and others around us. I can help you break down the issues of stress in your life and view them in ways that may create less stress. Grief and Loss

Living with grief is hard. Everyone will experience grief in some form during their life be it through change or loss. At times grief can feel too heavy to carry. I can provide a safe supportive space to allow you to express your grief, explore it and help you move towards a sense of hope and renewed purpose.

Relationships

Relationships can be difficult and relationships change all the time. When there are difficulties in relationships it can be helpful to get support to help bring these relationships back to a place of balance, peace and respect. I can help support you move your relationship back to this place by providing a neutral space where everyone in the relationship feels heard and respected.

Relationships are the core of creating healthy and happy lives. As humans we thrive off of the relationships we have with people if these relationships are positive for us. However some of our relationships can be difficult, draining or toxic. They can lead us to feeling a number of negative emotions and engaging in thoughts and behaviours that are not helpful for us. Some of these relationships can result in us withdrawing from life, feeling full of self-doubt or “not good enough”. I can help provide a safe and trusting space where you will be listened to with no judgements, where you can process the abuse and/or trauma and gently move you towards living a life you want to create for yourself.
